What is Enterprise Architecture Life Cycle Education?

  • Key Learning Objectives:
    • Establish Role of Business Architecture within Enterprise Architecture Framework and clearly establish the differences and overlaps between the role of a business architect and a business analyst.
    • Discuss Frameworks for Business Architecture. The framework helps the business architect define – the opportunity statement, required improvement to all processes and governance influencing the targeted business outcomes. Furthermore, define the impact of change on people and help define the Organization Change Management Strategy.
    • Workshops will incorporate the following analysis Techniques: Six Sigma, BPR, Lean Enterprise and Dice Theory for Organization Change Management.
    • Upon successful course completion, candidates will be able to complete Business Architecture for any Business Initiative and define Reference Business Architecture.

Project Leadership Education and Training

  • Course Name: EA and PM: Create a Common Vision
  • Format: In class Workshops - 2 Days
  • Frameworks Incorporated: TOGAF, PMI and Prince2

  • Key Learning Objectives:
    • Review PMI and TOGAF Methodology and create common vocabulary among Program/Project Managers and Architects.
    • Establish Key Performance Indicators for each role.
    • Establish Roles and Responsibilities and specific deliverables each role is RESPONSIBLE and ACCOUNTABLE for.
    • Discuss deliverables and templates – including Opportunity Statement, Architecture Definition Document, Business Case, Program/Project Charter, Project Plan, Solution Quality and Project Governance.
    • Upon program completion – Project Management Office and Enterprise Architecture will have clear roles & responsibilities and governance and skills to provide coherent leadership to project teams.

Program Motivation

This is self learning and hands-on workshop (4 days) based education program. The workshops are led by Master certified ITAC architects.

  • Workshop # 1: Establish the nature of IT Projects and determine under what circumstances the investment in EA will deliver positive ROI

  • Workshop # 2: Instructor will take a real-life business strategy and work with the class to develop architectural artefacts that will include: Architecture Requirements, Architecture Vision, Architecture Definition Document, Migration Plan and Value Realization Model.

  • Workshop # 3: Define building blocks for Enterprise Architecture development, demonstrate EALC toolkit and plan t o implement EA Repository
